Reseñas

A great way to tour Singapore street food
Kathryn D, 19-09-2022
Many thanks to Marcus Yeo for showing us the Indian, Chinese and Arab quarters.
What an experience. Not only did Marcus show us amazing food but his knowledge of the historical background was wonderful.

We would never have had the opportunity to visit these places and experience the delightful cuisine in the few days we visited Singapore if it were not for Marcus.

This really is a must and very good value for money. Thank you Marcus.
Great private tour - informative, entertaining and tasty!

Marcus, our guide, met us as planned and led us on a fascinating 3 hour tour of Arab Street, Little India and China Town. As well as tasting some wonderful dishes in each area, the tour was filled with anecdotes, information and insight into Singapore, its history and the background to its cultural diversity. There was some walking and a metro ride but all very do-able and needed to create the appetite for the next tasty morsel!
Excellent food, tour of neighborhoods, history
88foodlover88_123, 18-09-2022
We covered 3 neighborhoods and tried delicious dishes at each: from what I remember (Malay neighborhood--seems like a great one to visit with friends repeatedly): curry, Mee Siam, a pandan/coconut dessert and a local soda drink. Little India (I wanted to stay and eat at every single stall): Dosa, a delicious ginger drink, a sweet dessert --yum!. Chinatown (dim sum, the local "carrot" cake that I really hope to find again in the States, another local drink, an ice dessert and a large roll. a good amount of walking (not too much), fascinating neighborhoods, and getting to hear about history and life in Singapore was excellent. Marcus was our tour guide and he was so kind, funny, and attentive. I really appreciated how he watched over my mother (age 79) to make sure the pace wasn't too much for her (it wasn't but she's in good health thankfully). Wonderful guide, excellent tour. Highly recommend!

Couldn’t recommend this tour more! Marcus was great. He showed us around Singapore, whilst explaining the history and tasting new foods. Thank you!

I have found a food tour is a great way to get an introduction to a city and this tour does not disappoint. If you are a first time visitor, Marcos will provide quite a bit of historical context for the areas you will see and the food you will try. Very nice way to spend a few hours on day 1.

What an amazing experience to tour some of the most characteristic spots and taste the diverse culinary elements that make up Singapore with a local! Chingmeng put together a great plan involving aspects of Malay, Indian and Chinese ethnic origins, complete with background stories and historical facts. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to enjoy a private culinary tour.

William - a wonderful guide for Singaporean street food
Lauren_d, 04-02-2023
William was wonderful. He was kind and very knowledgeable and really wanted to take care of us as if we were his friends rather than tourists.

Our overall experience of the different areas - Chinese, Indian and Malay- was a fantastic way to be introduced to Singapore life.

Please book William - he was a delight and he gave us some Singaporean memories that we’ll never forget. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

This was an interesting tour the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful not asked about allergies etc which we don’t have except we can’t have too much sugar the Malaysian tea was a definite no but we weren’t was there anything else we could have .We thought the Malaysian food dishes were very good but we felt one plate between us would have been sufficient would have been better to have two different items on one plate to taste rather than two items the same
